Correspondence on email as an investigating from WADA released, showing apparently how Russia doped blind athletes and cheated with a try to prevent a 15 year old was taken doping.
It may look like Russian athlete not contented himself with dope top athletes and replace positive doping samples with clean urine samples.
Now revealed a new doping scandal among athletes with physical disabilities.
According to news agency AP, five blind Russian weightlifters have tested positive for the anabolic steroid metandienone during a training camp. It got the former director of Moscow’s anti-doping center, Grigory Rodchenkov, to react.
“- It is shameful. The coaches provide doping to blind athletes who can not see what they are eating”, Grigory Rodchenkov have written in an email to Sports Ministry official Alexei Velikodnyj by Russia’s state fitness.
The former laboratory director Grigory Rodchenkov handed email correspondence to the world anti-doping agency, WADA, when he – in fear for their own safety – moved to the United States.
Some of these leaked emails will also show how Alexei Velikodnyj allegedly ordered a pure sample for a 15-year athlete – one of Russia’s most promising junior runners. Thus, 15-year-old not banned after testing positive for marijuana.
Tampered with more than 500 samples
This should have happened in May last year. In its investigation report to WADA law professor Richard McLaren stated that over 1,000 athletes in more than 30 sports have taken advantage of a state-sponsored doping program in Russia. Cheated unfolded between 2011 and 2015, and more than 500 positive doping samples were manipulated.
The report indicated that the 15 Russian medal winners from the London Olympics in 2012 and 12 from the Olympics in Sochi in 2014 were involved in doping program.
