The World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) has condemned Russian hackers for leaking confidential medical files of star US Olympic athletes.
A Russian HACKER-group calling itself “Fancy Bears” claimed responsibility for the hack of a WADA database.

“We hacked WADA databases and diaper shocked by what we saw,” write hacker group on their homesite.

They write that they have concentrated on enlightenment about America’s drug use.

“As anticipated dominated USA in medals in the 2016 Olympics with 46 gold, 37 silver and 38 bronze. Total 121 medal. USA competed well, but not fair, “write hacker group.

DAF and TUE.

Fancy Bear group has posted a series files of athletes who have been defined as Deviating analytical findings (DAF) and medical exemptions /”Therapeutic Use Exemptions” (TUE). With DAF means substance on WADAs on probidden list, is found among the athletes, but is not been classified as doping because of a medical reason. A TUE is performers who because of claims must use medicins that are on WADA’s probidden list.

GYMNASTIC STAR: US Simone Biles took four gold and one bronze in Rio Olympics.

After the leak, Ms Biles said she had long been taking medicine (Ritalin) for Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD).
The hacker group had accused her of taking an “illicit psycho-stimulant”, but she said she had “always followed the rules”.

“By virtue of the TUE, Biles has not broken any drug-testing regulations, including at the Olympic Games in Rio,” USA Gymnastics said. The Rio Olympics quadruple gold medallist had obtained the necessary permissions.
Fancy Bears said TUEs amount to “licences for doping”.

WADA said in a statement that the cyber attacks were an attempt to undermine the global anti-doping system.

Russian Goverment.

Russian government spokesman Dmitry Peskov said it was “out of the question” that the Kremlin or secret services were involved in the hacking, Russian news agencies reported.

Russia’s track and field team were banned from the Rio Olympics over an alleged state-backed doping programme. All of its athletes are barred from the ongoing Paralympics.

Tennis stars Venus Williams, who took a medal at the Olympics in Rio is one of several athletes as according to the Russian hackers all abilities was doped during the Olympics in Rio.

The hackers method was simple.

The Hackers should have sent an email with fake links to get access to IOC-members users to the ADAMS database. The simplest is often the best, and targeted email-fishing often acts very good for victory.

That the  hackers have come into with this systematic method, suggests that there have not been a “enrollment paragraph two”, a twofactorautomation. Such a solving had made it approximated impossible to get into the database. This is how theatabase should have been secured from the beginning.

WADA.
Let it be known that these criminal acts are greatly compromising the effort by the global anti-doping community to re-establish trust in Russia,” WADA director-general Olivier Niggli said.
